| that's the problem with magic weekend though, our fans never congregate together like other teams do, we have the odd groups big groups dotted around and lots of others sat on their own rather than all together.
i suppose that comes down to demographics, look at the fans photos on the examiner site, most of our fans are in the older age bracket and don't want to sing and shout etc

The club need to get a grip of this. I chose unreserved seats that were side on view as there all weekend. Another pocket of fans in opposite corner side on, then singers/band in 2nd tier behind sticks. That cannot happen by accident - can it??? Other teams seemed to have a defined block area. Club needs to get this sorted - what I fail to see is why this is has not been sorted before as every Magic weekend this is the same. Highlighted more this year through the lack of ability to move around stadium like you could at Ethihad or Cardiff.

It's not the clubs fault that people have their own preferences!!!
Many like side on- some prefer cheaper seats, some like a reserved seat.
All clubs had people in different stands not just us.
And those of you who had seats in the side were able to come behind the sticks- many did!!!

| since when have Giants fans preferred to sit behind the posts?
the club should have put something out for the fans, maybe say where the band were going to be?
it wasnt very clear fans could move stands, alot were under the impression we couldnt switch stands. some fans were coming in 10mins before kick off so too late to find out
oh well if its at newcastle next year we might be able to decide where the majority will sit..toook us a few years to sort the manchester one out!

| if it does go to newcastle again then they need to sort the big screen out, or should i say not so big screen??!
couldnt see the bottom of it with the band in the way
the ground inside and toilets were abit tardy/grotty for a premiership team.
not much room for the activities area outside either, much more room in manchester for that.
has its pros and cons, a record crowd being a good one but maybe thats because it was that first visit effect too and some may not go up again

I didn't say they preferred to sit behind the posts- but some go for cheaper tickets. It's an expensive do following a club!!!
We wanted side in but couldn't get them for the full weekend as that stand was sold out for the Saturday.
We were told we wouldn't be able to move but as there was plenty of room stewards were allowing those with more expensive tickets to move to sit in the cheaper stand.

| I think that most fans would choose to sit together but club needs to do better to make this happen. I for one was not aware that seats could be swapped or you could move between stands and am pretty sure those around me did not either. Even if I did know on game day it was a bit late by then.
Surely the club could do better at least to highlight beforehand a selected area that they recommend to maximise our fans together? Trying to be positive as this clearly does not happen without some planning.

| I was sat next to a chap who'd moved from east stand. He said when he went to buy his tickets they asked him where he wanted to sit- he asked at ticket office where most had bought theirs and the person at the ticket office told him east stand
He saw where the band were and just asked the steward if he could walk across and they said yes.

yes they did this last year and it worked well but wasnt as organised this time round, mainly due to it being a new venue i would think.
were the side on and behind the posts tickets not the same price? £17.50 i paid side on unreserved.

we only paid £20 for weekend tickets behind sticks- that's with ST discount.

| Point is we know we will not be the best supported numbers wise so we need to work harder to ensure our fans are congregated together as much as possible.

| Enjoyed the weekend and the pro's generally outweighed the cons.
Sat in the Gallowgate end corner with the HKR fans for the Widnes v Salford game - good turnout by HKR and Widnes btw - but wanted to get into the unreserved East stand to be with my mates. HKR fans staged a mass-breakout over a wall and once this was stopped, many more went down the front, along and emerged back up in the East stand.
we followed suit.
This was a bit cramped and the facilities weren't brilliant.
However, the atmosphere was excellent and together with the large number of punters staying over (as opposed to Manchester), the great Pubs and the friendly reception we got from everyone especially the locals, Newcastle gets a big thumbs up from me.
I completely agree about the Giants fans being spread around and the club badly needs to endure that all are sat in two big clumps next season, ideally neither in the East stand.
All in all though, we are so lucky to be supporters of the greatest game
