re: Rangers coming to town, there will be no bother at all, fair credit to mini rogue and his comments which are bang on.. The problems in Manchester May 2008 were down to many factors and also the fact that Rangers will never reach a european final (certainly in my lifetime) so everyone and his dog made the trip and got pished = trouble no matter who it was. And for the undeducated in the sport (which there is a few on this thread) Rangers visited Manchester United in october 2003 and that passed without trouble and so will this! Gtr Manchester Police are treating this occasion with a hint of paranoia (and rightly so).

I went to Manchester in 2008 specifically to watch the match on the big screens. I saw no trouble at all. There was trouble but it certainly wasn't thousands of maurauding hooligans like it was made out to be.
