| Please about this.
I know some are wary about a repeat of the financial disaster of 2000 but that was bad organising. Only two group games ended up being played in Lancashire and Yorkshire combined whilst they took in places like Edinburgh, Gloucester, Watford and Reading.
Keep it in the heartlands and it'll be a blinder. Group games at the likes of Wire, Widnes maybe Leeds give Hull an big ish England group game. Semis at Wigan and Hudds - final at Wembley.
I think they are planning the opener at the Olympic Stadium.
Just model it on 1995. I'm not Maurice's biggest fan but he put on a great tournament that year.

Like you say opener and final at big national stadiums
semi's at 25k ish stadiums
group games dependant on size staged in Lancs and Yorks mixed between grounds like Wire, Widnes, Leeds etc.

| Opener at Olympic stadium could be interesting.
Double header semi at Old Trafford.
Play the games in the right places and crowds will attend - as long as the RFL gets the pricing right.
Final at Wembley!

| Hopefully clubs like Saints, Salford, Wakey, Cas and Bardford will get their acts together and get these stadiums built so there will be plenty of good options for the RFL.

I don't think they should go Old Trafford twice in one year. Maybe Man City. Was a good night for GB v Aus there in 2004.

| Does anyone know if the proposed GB Ashes tour of 2012 is still going ahead.
I'm still not a big fan of this England malarky (even though it's more or less the same players).

Id put the final in Man City ground. Holds about 45-50k which is ideal for the final. Dont want an half empty stadium for a final sends a wrong message to the public about the game.

That'll be a scrum for tickets, by 2013 it'll only have a capacity of 20,000...... there again, maybe that's about the right number

Well "no major series" is taking place in 2012 so I would expect an Ashes series to be played. I would guess with the World Cup being confirmed for here that makes an Ashes Tour down under more than likely. I expect they'd take in New Zealand as well for World Cup preperation purposes.
Quote Woody_woody2009 – Oct/Nov – Four-Nations series in the northern hemisphere featuring England, New Zealand, Australia and France.
- South Pacific Cup with the winner gaining entry into the 2010 Four Nations.
2010 – Oct/Nov – Four-Nations series in southern hemisphere featuring Australia, New Zealand, England and the winner of the 2009 South Pacific Cup.
- European nations to contest qualifying series to determine who will join the 2011 Four-Nations.
2011 – Oct/Nov Four Nations in northern hemisphere.
- South Pacific Cup (no guarantee of Four-Nations berth)
2012 – No major series to be contested.
2013 – World Cup to be staged in UK and to begin a fixed, four-year cycle from that point.'"

Only yesterday did I see on the news that they aren't going to reduce the capacity straight away in case a succesful bid for the football world cup is achieved.
The Olympic Stadium rumour was something I heard ages ago mind don't take my thoughts as read.

| 2013 is a long way off. I have e-mailed RL regarding next years 4 nations for confirmation and dates. Guess what --- not a word from them, i honestly despair at how the game is run. They have not even had the decency to even acknowledge the e-mails sent. I do believe that they haven't a clue as to what is happening next year. It is all very well celebrating 2013 but when they cant answer basic questions about next years games, even if the tournament is definately on, offers me very little confidence in the powers that be.
I may e-mail Sky (boots n all) to see if they can provide any answers.
I am sure that many more supporters would like to travel to Aus next year but need to make plans i.e holidays from work, budget, travel arrangements.
