Police are hunting four men who carried out a sickening attack in Wigan town centre.
Their victim was left with multiple fractures after they launched their attack on him at a bus stop outside Wigan North Western Station.
Police today issued pictures of their prime suspects for the brutal crime which was committed in the early hours of the morning.
It was at about 2.50am on Saturday Night/Sunday Morning (September 12/13) that the 24-year-old victim was with friends in Wallgate when he was approached by a group of four men.
Three of them shouted abuse at him before launching what detectives describe as a "vicious and unprovoked" attack.
He suffered a triple fracture to his right leg, a dislocated right ankle and severe swelling to his head and face.
Anyone with information is asked to call Wigan CID on (0161) 856 5307, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on (0800) 555111.

| I hope the injued bloke gets better soon.
Where were the police? Surely at that time they should have been all over Wigan. Probably harrasing a motorist on the outskirts of town would be my guess 
Havent been down King St in years, dont miss it one bit. |

Thats the bit i don't get.
At 3am on a Sunday there is normally a huge police presence knocking about and if they're not right on the spot of an incident they'll be there within seconds due to all the cctv camaras.
Lads like that annoy the life out of me. One on one they'd sh*t themselves but are only to willing to hammer somebody 4 or 5 on 1.

So on top of being chicken sh8t scum they aren't too bright giving someone a whacking while cctv is on them.
On another note I hear there is a certain dentist (in the metro paper in London this morning) from Wigan who is in trouble for flashing a leopard skin posing pouch he was wearing to his staff.
Sentencing today..it all goes on round there.
