IMO If Fielden was worth 450K, Martin Offiah 440K, Paul Newlove around 400K and Sculthorpe about the same. Then I would go with 400- 500k because he has four years left on his current deal and IMO is in the same league as those players with the potential to be even better under Maguire and Wane.

With the lack of transfers in RL, there'd be no point selling him. Especially with the salary cap. We couldn't do anything with the money.

Agreed. Wigan really couldn't afford to let Sam Tomkins go. I think it's going to be a very long time, if ever, before that debate arises and we ever let him go. As has been said, he's already in the top three best players in the club, and it's only his second full season in the first team.
