Hes good as a pitch side reporter, but when he has to interview someone at length its cringeworthy. Gets tongue tied far too much. That said, this can improve through experience.

The commentator for the NZ V Aus game was so much better than Eddie too - Forgotten his name, but he normally does the touchline for most Sky games. Rob or Rod Stubbs or something like that.
Carney is good value as is Phil Clarke (despite criticism from Leeds Saints and Wire fans!). Both have played the game to the highest level and both are intelligent and articulate ( unlike quite a lot of the commentators/analysts).

It was Bill Arthur. Rod Studd hasn't done any games in this 4 Nations for sky. He usually does the roundups of the games for Boots N All. |

I suffered the Ru radio coverage for an hour in the car today. I wonder what would happen if our sports swapped media teams for a while? They made a e team sound like the best ever.

It's the same old story. How much coverage did England's upcoming game against the All Blacks in Union get? It was plastered everywhere. It's the media darling.
League gets nothing like that coverage - most people don't even know that the England team is on tour right now. |

Absolutely spot on. You should send a squad out to win the games - not rocket science is it! You do the building after the current competition has finished and before the next one starts.
If we had sent a squad out to win, Gleeson would have been in the side. The fact he will probably be retired before the next one is neither here nor there.
