Kevin Sinfield? Really?

As i've just said on Twitter, he isn't even in the top 10 players in this country [as evidenced by his lack of nomination for MoS so he cannot be the best player in the world. O'Loughlin is 10x the player he is. Great captain, great kicker, great organiser, but not much else.

It's ridiculous. A minority of Leeds fans will see this as some sort of bitter and twister jealousy but I'm gob smacked.



There are so many players ahead of him. It's nice to see a brit win it but when it goes to a player who wasn't even on the mos short list and wasn't even near the world's best team you have to wonder what's going on with RL at the moment.

What a farce, how can a player win it who didn't get in the world 13 or even Super League dream team? He didn't even have a good season apart from the playoffs. Personally think Smith should have won it.

How can a player that isnt shortlisted by his fellow professionals for Man Of Steel, Isnt in the World team of the year, isnt even the best in his position be named the worlds best player ahead of the likes of Cooper Cronk. Once again these individual awards seriously lack credibility. Sinfield is great player, but the worlds best.....give me a break

You've used the word 'Great' three times in a sentence to describe a player you don't seem to rate.



That's odd.

I'm a wire fan, he killed us in the GF, i had had beer by that stage and i could still see how good he is.



He is probably the most under rated player in the league (apart from in Leeds)...

To be fair the Captain's knock he put in at the back end of the season was superb. I have never really rated him before, but i though he was outstanding.



Whilst i don't think he is even the best in the league I am happy that he has got the award.



Anything to wind up the ockers regardless.



Yeah lioners will proclaim this as some kind of a moral victory, but this is a small price to pay to riles the Aussies.

I think, he's had a decent career with many honours, captained both club and country, he's a top class kicker and organiser, intelligent role model type player.



The lad deserves it, if not for the amazing career he's had.

That's possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever read.



And when O'Loughlin leads a superior Wigan squad to 6 grand finals, then you can say he is even on Sinfield's level.

So Sinfield performs to a very high standard in the last 4 games of the season and he is considered the world's best? The fact that he did nack-all all season prior to the playoffs wasn't taken into account? Where was he when Leeds were getting thrashed at home to Wigan and away at Saints and Wire and Wire again at Wembley?
