Olly did very well and I thought Raleigh had his best game of the season. Mathers was rock solid at the back, must have saved at least 3 tries and took loads of high balls in difficult conditions so I'd go for him. Wood added some real spark yet again with his introduction and Walshaw certainly didn't look out of place during his stints.

Wood - we look miles better when he comes on, without fail.

Agree with you with the MOTM, but maybe thats the way we're using wood? - Fetching him on to inject some pace and spark into our game? - Abit like we did with Latu?

for me it was ollie is effort on the pitch was excellent and he was the only wakefield forward what broke the line. he chewed up alot of metres, and was excellent in defence.

Mathers for me thought he was outstanding he shows great leadership aswell !

I weren't at Hull yesterday, but I've not seen anything from Wood in the first three games that suggests we are a better team with him in it. Whilst he looks lively, he disrupts our game plan, the other players seem unsure what he going to do and he is unable to control the play the ball like Aiton does. We're also wasting Aiton by moving him to loose and using him as a battering ram. I'd rather see Ellis as interchange hooker, or play Aiton for the full 80 minutes and have another forward on the bench.

Ollie ran the ball in very well but I thought Wood gave us an extra spark when he came on and changed the flow of the game.
