Moving back to rugby matters, I believe the squad was to be complete by the end of September. If we take out the loaned players, those that have left and include two academy players we are nowhere near strong enough. We can add those signings already announced and I calculate our current squad strength is about 21 players and I have included Trout and Annakin in that number. This would suggest a rash of announcements in the next few days.

Think MC is on holiday now so not sure about a rash of signings.

Also didn't I read that we were talking to two players and were hopeful of signing them.

Which two players?

The two academy players I included in the 21 were the full back and winger some of you keep going on about.

Are Jowitt and/or Shulver signed for this year? I can't remember.

Sykes could still be a good addition if price was right but he's probably more valuable to a lower team.

The strength in depth of the pack is excellent, the backs less so. Hooker is a place that needs strengthening, but if another half can be signed it allows Godinet to move to interchange hooker.

IIRC the talk was to run with a squad of 25 ??

If so, the op is probably right to expect a couple more signings, although the calibre of these may depend on the apathetic Wakefield public.
