| It appears that a number of Hull players recieve a FLAT wage win or lose, no win bonus, no incentive.
Maybe it's me, but surely that can't be doing us any good??
Thoughts?

Surely they should be playing for an extension on there contract and to stay with the club though? I dont think an incentive is always necessary!

Fine young man....I'll stop your commission
Point being we all need that extra drive and financial gain always seems to work.

| I don't like incentives for RL players, maybe for finals but if they are under contract then they are being paid to play.

| the main problem is if you give players win pay then you have to calculate that into the cap. so if each player had a £100 win bonus(just used as an example) etc then the club would have to deduct that amount off the cap by the amount of games etc. so 17 man squad x £100 = £1,700 per game x this by the extreme possibility that they win all the games (30)ish your looking at deducting about £50k off what you can spend on players.

What would the difference be from financially incentivising you to up the ante, and a RL player?
I am paid to do a job, the financial rewards of doing a superb job drive me further, can't see how that would differ to a RL player?

Not when the basic is dropped to incorporate this, doesn't have to be a massive drop and we may spend a little more....but this would be for WINNING, rather then just collecting your money win lose or draw.

I just don't like it personally, I don't have incentives in my job but it does not affect my performance. Players receive good contract offers which they accept so they should then play as well as they can.

So if somebody came up to you and offered say a grand for 'turning it up' for a week you couldn't??
Too many players for me collecting over inflated basics for losing.

I see where you are coming from for future players. but no current player would drop their current salary level to incorporate this. And also when signing future players if a player is offered this extra money fixed in their contract by another club then they would probably go for that deal rather then signing with us. Just my opinion though.
