England winning on Saturday, or a Rovers player not scoring the winner?



Now, I thought this would be a ridiculous question, but there are actually some FC fans that would rather England lose as long as a Rovers player doesn't score the winner (or score at all in fact).

I want England to win and i don't care who scores, much the same as when the football team play i don't care if the dirty manc Rooney scores, so long as they win, it's about national pride not petty cross city rivalry!!

To be honest with you I was'nt jumping up and down when he scored on Saturday, just a sort of mixed emotion.

If it means us beating the Aussies I dont mind if Fox and Briscoe both score a hat trick. After all they are ENGLAND players.

I guess I should have elaborated on why I thought it would be ridiculous. Basically, I'd have expected everyone to be pulling behind England, but there are a lot of people that can't let club rivalries go (not just Hull) to the point where they'd rather England lose a major final.

England to win without a doubt..I sincerely hope Fox as the rest of the team have a great game, they are all representing our country, not bothered who they play for..I am pleased our own player Tom has gained valuable experience on the International arena, banter is great but come on get a grip

Quite. Some of the abuse the players are getting is beyond a joke IMO. They are playing for England and should be getting our support regardless of their club allegiances.
