Actually thought we had a lot of decent performances today



1, Obst - Improving each game as he gets to know the team

2, Manu - Looked like getting back to his best but was subbed at the wrong time for me

3, Horne - Just for the try saving tackle in the first half, took a knock but got right back into it. The crowd appreciated it as well.

yeah your right Horne had a good game again and showed he is fit again because he took two heavy knocks and carried on well

Obst is in everyone's top 3, yet people are still saying they'd move him to accomodate Long if Long is fit, when was Long last MOM for Hull?

I've been one calling for it. I'd like to see Long/Horne/Obst and Houghton in the same starting 17 as I think they are in our top 17 players. That is the only way to achieve it. We need to see Obst at hooker as well - a position that many Wakey fans believed to be his best. I also believe that Washy has not played well enough this year to prevent him being dropped.

I agree with dropping Washbrook, but Obst in at hooker means Houghton on the bench, which is a waste in my opinion. I haven't seen Long have a "wow" game for FC, in fact, I struggle to remember his last completely solid performance.

Obst would likely be on the bench with Houghton starting ? Would much prefer to see Obst replacing him than Washy - I think that would make us dangerous from acting half for the full 80 and add a lot to the team. With regard to Longy I'm not claiming he's pulled up any trees but I thought he did OK against KR when we attacked in the first half until the forwards lost the middle. He's also hardly ever played with Horne so I'd like to see that. ATEOTD if the Obst/Horne partnership is better then we should ultimately go with that but we need to see all the options in my view. I think bringing Long in gives us the most options of the lot.

I agree with you, you can't drop Obst from the 13 for putting in performances like he has so far. So even if you move it about you're having to bench Houghton to accomodate Long and other than his name, there isn't the justification for doing that.
