I originally had Obst on the bench but recruiting two halves will be very tough and is not realistic as will be signing 6 players.



This would mean signing 5 new players with the priorities being 1, 3 & 6. I know Newton is only young but he would only need to player 20 min per game to cover Houghton who has been used to playing the full 80 mins anyway. I am sure he could cope with that and may well rise to the challenge.



I would try to use the overseas spots (quota/non-fed) for the three key areas of 1,3 & 6 as we need some genuine strike players/class. If we recruit shrewdly we could get two british forwards for the bench.

Couldnt you get Lynne trained up as a centre ?

Have you seen Newton play ? I think Fitzy might do one more year to be fair yet . Also I think Horney will be our number 6 next season

He seems like a winger to me and needs to learn that role first.

No, only going off reports, he seems to be highly rated and I just think that right now Houghton is not getting a break so even if Newton did 15 mins per game that would help Houghton and I think would develop Newton much more than playing U20's every week.

Would certainly take Gleeson as the centre.

Think we need to look for a 7 rather than a 6 though tbh. Horne will be our 6 next year, no doubt and it will leave Obst to continue in the role he has now.



Can see Gleeson being the centre, not sure who's ooc FB wise and a quota 7 isn't going to be a superstar.
