Nat Troll_Aholic is nothing more than a pathetic and envious troll who enjoys nothing more than trawling other clubs message boards for dirt then going back to the other clubs message board to 'report' on what has been said. He knows nothing about the game and has demonstrated time and again that he knows nothing about our club and it's finances. He is a parasite, deliberately trying to stir things up and a disgrace to the decent 'fax fans that post on here.

I think Nat is under the illusion that our accounts posted for 2008 - 2009 somehow doesn't include our 2009 NRC win and that our 'lowered attendance' and lack of silverware contribute (from this financial year) somehow contribute to the figures we recently posted (from the last financial year).

Vic i must admit i used to get wound up, but now i laugh at it all.We are the best placed team in the Championship with the RFL criteria.So look forward to our application been one of the best.

I am taking time off on the 31st March 2011,to hopefully party at the club.

Do we know it's that date yet? AFAIK it's simply still the same old vague 'sometime in March'.

Applications go into the RFL in the next two weeks, so be nice if they decided for Christmas.Santa comes with the best present ever for Widnes fans.

I believe it is a matter of public record that Steve O'Connor set up a charitable fund/trust with the sum of £1.8M in 2008.



That money, in its entirety, was called upon by the Widnes Sport Ltd in the financial year 2008-2009. It was entered as income in your accounts and was used I imagine to service debts among other things (seating? etc), the surplus of this figure is I believe in the region of £1M and is recorded as profit in the accounts for the period in question. Your clubs accounts, like all businesses (e.g. S O'Connors) are a matter of public record and available to anyone.



To be honest I fail to see why Widnes fans are getting angry. Congratulations on having a professional and financially committed chairman. You now have a well run club with a healthy bank balance, in fact I would say its a bank balance that is the envy of British RL as no other club bar Batley (of all people) have posted a profit in years without selling their assets. To get upset by people (truthfully) stating that the profit you declared was due to income received from a trust set up by your chairman seems ridiculous and is no doubt providing great amusement to those who have an issue with your club.

I dont honestly think kev was having a dig at Widnes , when he made that statement , think most of us see widnes as the most professional club in our division , and thats why he made the comparision and pointed out why you had made such a profit to show how well we had done , in wiping out half our debt in one season, and were on course to have no debt come this time next season , so why the rfl had picked on us to send out that e mail , especially as he had talked to inland revenue , who were happy with our arrangements to pay off outstandin money , had him bemused , your books look good for your SL application , as does Halifaxs gate , thanks to a massive turn out from Batley in the last game of the season
