Mason/Briscoe/Colbon still would not get in my 17 even if they could play.
Think we are 2 weeks off a full strength team.

| I would think the back row would be more like:
Newton
Galea
Murrell
With Mason coming and spelling Newton or more likely Galea, to provide impact.

I'm sure that's still Morgans plan.

| On current form or the form of when they were last fit I'd say Cook and Taylor would argue anybody for a place in that 17. Galea has been good and Newton was scoring for fun while fit but you'd have to say these two lads will never let us down and it will be hard to drop them.
Think Morgs has to stop starting with Clinton and Vella, we are too slow with these on the park at the same time and we'd be better with one experienced prop at a time so to take the pressure off the younger blokes when they are on the pitch at the same time as each other too.
Clintons second spell against 'quins was a terrific showing and if he can perform like that all the time he'll be making the selectors of the Exciles squad wish they'd picked him!!

Clinton is average, waste of a quota spot, reminds me of Peter Cusack at Hull, there are English props who would do as good a job as him.
Ok he had a good game (2nd spell) against the worst pack in SL IMO.
Wont get anywhere near the Exiles squad off the top of my head Lima, Perry, Puleta, O Meley, Vella, Mason, Moa and Cashmere are much better props than him.
Wouldn't be shocked if Rovers don't try and release him and use his quota spot on another player.
Rovers have 5 better props than him in Wheeldon, Lovegrove, Mason, Vella and Watts.

Along with Lovegrove, Clinton was our best prop last year. He averaged AFAIK over 8 metres a carry. If you want to see a wasted quota spot take a look for Garett Crossman!

| That team should steamroller us, it possibly won't, but it should.

Last season he was one of our best forwards after his 5th game, this season he has again taken a while to get in to form but he has just about started to find his feet again and although that is not really acceptable taking half a season to start performing I'd argue he likes the harder faster tracks and the sunshine so there is no wonder he has started to play well now. I wouldn't renew his contract as I agree there are better forwards that will give us a greater number of good games but I'm happy with him for the time being.
