I know it's all about opinion but I really don't understand this desire to move possibly one of the best S/Rs in SL on current form into the centres.
Why?
Surely it's illogical to move a player who is dominant in his position into another position where he is basically cover and replace said player with an inferior one in his original position.
Play Cowling at Centre and leave Kirmond where he can cause some real damage. Saints may be big in the backs but there bigger in the middle where most games are won and lost.
What I don't get is why we loaned out Walshaw who played well at centre on his last run out, when we knew Mellors was out for the season. That said Cowling IMHO is a good steady player and will hopefully go OK.
